The Armare Gamberus 2.0 Tapered Optimist Mainsheet is part of Armare’s One Design Line, a premium range of cordage engineered specifically for competitive sailing classes. Developed in collaboration with international Optimist teams, world champions, and elite sailors, this mainsheet is purpose-built to deliver maximum performance in high-level racing environments.

At the core of the Gamberus 2.0 is a compact polyester construction designed for strength, durability, and consistent handling under load. The rope is overbraided with a thicker polyester cover and expertly tapered at both ends, creating a smooth transition from thin to thick sections along its length. This tapered design improves handling efficiency and ensures optimal performance through ratchet blocks.

The thicker central section enhances grip and control during sheeting, allowing young sailors to make precise adjustments even in high-pressure racing conditions.
