The Windex 15MK2 Wind Vane with BirdSpike is a trusted masthead wind indicator designed to deliver accurate wind direction information for cruising and racing yachts between 5 and 12 metres (15–40 feet).

Engineered for exceptional sensitivity, the large fin and low inertia vane respond instantly to even small wind shifts, helping helms and trimmers maintain optimal sailing angles. The precision sapphire jewel suspension bearing ensures minimal friction, allowing the vane to rotate freely and provide highly responsive wind indication in light airs as well as stronger breeze.

The easy-to-read adjustable tacking tab system helps sailors identify the optimal upwind angles for efficient sailing. Once set, the tabs provide a quick visual reference from the cockpit, making it easier to maintain the correct trim and maximise performance.

A built-in BirdSpike prevents birds from landing on the vane without affecting the accuracy or performance of the indicator. Reflective tape on both the vane and the tacking tabs improves visibility in low light conditions, making the indicator easier to see during early starts, night passages, or twilight racing.

Supplied with the Unifix 15 mounting bracket, the vane can be installed vertically or horizontally depending on masthead configuration.
