The Harken 57mm T2 Soft-Attach Double Block 2153 is a lightweight, high-load sailing block designed for modern rope-based systems where efficiency, strength and minimal weight are essential. Using Harken’s proven T2 soft-attach design, this block removes metal shackles to reduce overall system weight, minimise windage and improve rope alignment under load.

Constructed with durable Carbo composite sideplates and twin 57mm free-running sheaves, this double block delivers smooth, low-friction performance for mainsheets, control lines and cascading purchase systems. The soft-attach configuration distributes loads evenly through rope attachments, reducing point loading while offering flexible installation options.

T2™ blocks come in single and double configurations and can be tied, spliced, or lashed to almost anything. T2 doubles feature composite line guides that are integrated into the block head. They prevent the block from capsizing by pushing the lashing line to the outer edges of the sideplates. The 29, 40, and 57 mm blocks feature composite sheaves that spin freely on Delrin® ball bearings with curved bearing races. They have no metal shackles or rivets, making them the lightest soft-attach blocks Harken has ever designed. All T2 blocks route the attachment line through the block head and sheave, decreasing the loads on the sideplates and acting as a safety backup for the system. Use for traveler controls, mainsheets and vangs, cascades, bridles, and other systems where small lightweight blocks are called for. A length of Spectra® line is included.
