The new Forward WIP Impact vest now comes with side protection panels and a small hole in the high vis cover on the shoulder to allow for a comms system lead.

The Water Impact Protection (WIP) vest from Forward WIP offers great comfort and protection for all serious sailors (including Kite-Surfers, Wind-Surfers and Stand Up Paddlers).

Fitting close to the body, its neoprene grip strips, on the inside, grip your wetsuit and prevent the vest riding up dangerously.

It ensures good freedom of movement with its wide arm openings, and adjusts to the waist with 2 straps.

This vest is designed to be compatible with trapeze harnesses, it is also compatible Kitesurf and Windsurf harnesses. The lower part of the back panel is made of softer foam impact protection strips, all covered with textile. The buoyancy is distributed over the upper part of the panel, which is denser.

Chosen by several America's Cup teams and professional sailors as a protection solution against impact - thanks to its high-density thermoformed foam, it combines comfort, numerous storage (5 pockets + 1 line cutter storage pocket), 50N buoyancy with superb impact protection.

Optionally it is even possible to integrate a 'Spare Air' kit with a compact oxygen cylinder.

> 50N of buoyancy, but above all a real protection against impact shocks thanks to its high-density thermoformed foam
> It also includes 2 pads that slide into the sides of the vest to protect the lower ribs
> Closure : YKK side zip and double adjustment strap
> 2 neoprene strips inside to grip your wetsuit and prevent the ride-up commonly seen on some buoyancy aids
> 5 pockets of different sizes : 1 large zipper, 1 back panel, 2 shoulder, 1 knife pocket, 1 dedicated line cutting area, all easily accessible
> This Impact Vest meets the standard 50N - ISO 12402-5
