The Forward Sailing WIP Pro Helmet is designed for sailors. It’s light, stylish and very effective.
You wear a helmet on a bike, skiing, horse riding... so think of your head on a boat, especially if you’re going hard and fast.
Modern design skiffs and catamarans are getting faster and incidents on board can cause trauma due to quick deceleration and capsize. Large racing yachts carry big loads and require active bowmen - both up the front and up the rig. And cruising yacht sailors need to be more aware of safety issues especially when shorthanded.
Forward Sailing has an innovative solution with this new sailing helmet. It’s made with In Mold technology (a thin skin of polycarbonate is co-injected with polystyrene foam) and the result is a very light helmet with superior shock absorption.
It’s equipped with a quick-release buckle which automatically opens if a force over 6kg is applied so you can take it off quickly and easily if you are stuck in a strangling position.
Each helmet is delivered with a second set of foam for smaller head sizes.
